Catrin Davies

Director of Community Engagement
AND Development

Catrin Davies was appointed Director of Community Engagement and Development in June of 2021. She has been involved with Opera Baltimore, formerly Baltimore Concert Opera, since its inception in 2009, as a singer, a board member, and a huge fan.

Catrin has spent the past twenty years immersed in the world of opera as an administrator, teacher, singer, director, and consultant, teaching and directing at Towson University, the Road Scholar, Harford Community College, and primarily at the Peabody Conservatory. Deeply committed to outreach into the community, Catrin helmed the Peabody Opera Outreach program for 7 years, and has been involved in outreach with many Baltimore arts organizations. Currently, she is the resident director at Summer Garden Opera, and at the Young Victorian Theatre Company. Catrin’s administrative roles have been with Creation Theatre Company (U.K.), Opera America, and Peabody. 

Catrin holds an honors degree in history from McGill University, a Master's degree in Women's Studies from Oxford University, and graduate diplomas from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Peabody Conservatory.
