Hello, Baltimore! As we step into the vibrant colors of fall, Opera Baltimore is delighted to invite you to our FREE “Fall for Opera” series. We're bringing the timeless beauty of opera to every corner of our beloved city, from the picturesque Patterson Park Observatory to the vibrant urban oasis of The Lot, and the historic charm of Mount Vernon Place West Square.
We’re closing the September 10th Fall for Opera in Mt Vernon with a special performance of "Va pensiero" from Nabucco, and we want you to join us.
Fall for Opera - Patterson Park

Fall for Opera - The Lot
The third and final performance of our FREE “Fall for Opera” series! We're bringing the timeless beauty of opera to every corner of our beloved city, including The Lot at Hamilton Lauraville Mainstreet.
At Opera Baltimore, we believe in Building Community through Opera. These concerts are opportunities for us to come together, share in the joy of music, and create lasting memories. These events are designed for everyone, young and seasoned listeners, offering many their very first taste of the magic of opera.
Fall for Opera at The Lot will take place rain or shine. If there is inclement weather, the concert will be moved to the interior space. First come first served. Chairs are permitted outside only. This Fall for Opera performance is made possible by our collaboration with B'more....U Mentoring Scholarship.
Don Giovanni Portraits: The voices behind the legend
Don Giovanni Portraits is an intimate evening built around the opera's principal characters -- Donna Anna, Donna Elvira, Leporello, Zerlina, Don Ottavio, Masetto, and the libertine himself, Don Giovanni. Through the opera's most revealing scenes and arias, each character emerges with striking humanity, illuminating the passions, desires, humor, heartbreak, and moral choices that have made Don Giovanni one of the greatest operas ever written.

Performed by internationally renowned soprano Sara Duchovnay, the program features the works of Jewish composers including Camilla Frydan, Abraham Goldfaden, Kurt Weill, Baltimore composer Hugo Weisgall, and more.
Voices in Solidarity: Sing, Skate, Celebrate!
Join us for FREE at the Shake and Bake Family Fun Center on Saturday, June 6th, from 5-7pm for an evening exploration of Baltimore’s Black and Jewish History through music, storytelling, skating, and a special traveling artifact display from the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture exploring Baltimore’s histories of resilience and cultural connection.
Be In Tune Series: Songs and Arias from Opera Baltimore
Enjoy an afternoon of music with two artists from Opera Baltimore who create an intimate, voice-driven theatrical experience that blends powerful live singing with dramatic storytelling. Featured performers include: Gayssie Lugo and Faith S. Snyderman.

Voices in Solidarity continues with Silenced Songs: Rediscovering the Lost Music of Jewish Composers, a program led by soprano Sara Duchovnay that restores the voices of Jewish women composers whose work was disrupted or suppressed during the Holocaust.
The afternoon combines conversation and performance, examining Jewish identity, cultural memory, and artistic resilience through scholarship and live music.

Roots and Resonance: an Operatic Love Letter to Baltimore
Opera Baltimore and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture present “Roots and Resonance: An Operatic Love Letter to Baltimore” on February 14th. “Roots and Resonance” serves as the kick-off event for Voices in Solidarity: Baltimore’s Black and Jewish Operatic History, a place-based initiative highlighting the deeply intertwined histories of the city’s Black and Jewish communities through music, conversation, and education, in partnership with the Reginald F. Lewis Museum and the Jewish Museum of Maryland.
