Opera Club - Dido & Aeneas

RSVP HERE

Like a book club, only LOUDER!

A queen falls in love. A hero is called away. Purcell tells their story with striking clarity, vivid theatricality, and one of opera’s most unforgettable laments. This Opera Club conversation will consider love, leadership, duty, and the emotional force packed into this compact masterpiece.

Opera Club welcomes longtime opera lovers, first-time listeners, and everyone in between. Participants will watch a designated production before the meeting, then gather for an informal, free-flowing discussion led by one of Opera Baltimore’s expert facilitators. Viewing information will be shared with registered participants.
